So since I’ve revived Delta after another interminable absence, and after roughly 225 pages-worth of writing, you may feel like you’re behind, like there’s a lot of reading for you to do. And if you want to read through the whole Change series, be my guest.
But you probably don’t. And so here’s a little recap on what’s going on in this story so far.
The Society (the good guys) just got their butts kicked in a battle with the League (the bad guys). Sarah Kensington-Chelgren recruits her friend, Teri Thiessen, the widow of Jake Thiessen, to come back to help the Society, while Sarah’s husband, Scott Chelgren, runs a dangerous mission to try to track down the powerful Wafia, one of the League’s most powerful operatives.
In London, meanwhile, Lloyd Polley is falling in love with Lilavati Jurasaya, while in Madrid, Zoraida Abarca Vivas kills a man threatening an American tourist with rape.
Scott is kidnapped by Wafia, Lloyd and Lil go on the run from government officials tied to the Cadre (the other bad guys). Zoraida finds out she’s being investigated, but Leah Jackson of the League offers to take her out of Spain, and to safety. Reluctantly, Zoraida accepts.
In a desperate gamble to find Scott, Teri secretly frees Elizabeth Anderson, the woman who killer Teri’s husband. Teri hopes she can trust Liz to infiltrate the League and free him. Liz thinks she can be trusted, but maybe she can’t.
Lloyd and Lil go through a number of adventures, finally ending up shrunk in a dorm room in Heidelberg. There, Henry Bigg, a Cadre official, tracks them down, but his attempt to catch them is foiled by Susan Kensington, Sarah’s resentful little sister. Sue, Lloyd, Lil, and Sue’s roommate Raichel go on the run again.
In Alaska, Scott escapes from the immediate clutches of the League, but is captured by Zoraida, who questions him rather than turn him over. Scott agrees to stay with her and teach her about the view of the Society from his perspective. Liz is welcomed back to a heroine’s welcome, and promoted to Regent of the League by Teri. And the Cadre kidnaps Jake Finney and his wife, Jane Matthews, in an attempt to build for themselves a powerful miniaturization device.
And in Switzerland, Lloyd and Sue are trapped in a wife’s panties, while Raichel and Lil are trapped in a husband’s briefs.
So that’s where we are in a nutshell. It’s better laid-out if you read the whole thing, but that’s a game reset. Now, without further ado, Chapter 15 of a scheduled 28.
